Bio

Denise is Associate Professor, Head of Collections & Technical Services at Azusa Pacific University in Azusa, California. In addition to her role in technical services, she is the library liaison for APU’s School of Nursing, Public Health, and Child Life departments, in which she provides reference, collection development, and instruction in the said areas. She is also the Chair of the Library’s Collection Strategies and Integrated Library System committees, a member and Chair of the SCELC Consortium Collections & Electronic Resources Committee, and a member of the SCELC Shared Print Committee. She received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Religious Studies from the University of Sioux Falls, a Master of Arts in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from Azusa Pacific University, and a Master of Science in Library and Information Science from Drexel University. In her free time, Denise spends time with her wirehair dachshunds. She enjoys taking them to dog shows and to events in which they can demonstrate their natural instincts.
